Robert Eggers’ 2024 film “Nosferatu” is a reimagining of the classic vampire tale, blending elements from F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent film and Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.” Set in the early 1800s, the story centers on Ellen Hutter (Lily-Rose Depp), a young woman who, in her youth, pleads for a supernatural being to ease her loneliness, inadvertently awakening Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård). In a climactic encounter, Ellen offers herself to Orlok, and as he feeds on her, the morning sun rises, causing his demise. Ellen succumbs to her injuries, dying in her husband’s arms, but her sacrifice saves the town from the vampire’s curse.
