On behalf of myself and Dan Brittain (and Amy Edwards) I would just like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who took interest in Dan’s new single and Rue Morgue Records Label’s first (ever) vinyl release. I am pretty certain, we’ll be sold out by the AM.
We did this in a week with zero publicity from many of the publications I approached. Only Metal Obsession gave us some love and that has been duly noted in the memory banks. My thanks to Anwar Rizk for always being there for me in the various projects I have worked on and the many photo opportunities he has afforded me over the past 11 years. This is never forgotten or under-appreciated.
Dan and myself worked our asses off getting this happening. It has been a couple months of solid work for me, and about a year of Dan busting a gut recording some great new music.
And he has delivered some of his best work. I only agreed to work with him if we could be dead honest with each other all the way. If I didn’t like a song or approach, I would tell him so. If he didn’t like how I handled promotion and production, he would tell me. With that in effect, and constant communication each and every day for the past 2-3 months, I am damn proud of what we have achieved together.
Celestial Seasons is a fucking great song. Let me say that again, it is a fucking great song and the B Side… well, it is just as magical.
50 of you will find out soon enough and see for yourselves the work we have put into this.
The single will be pressed early in the new year and then Dan is gonna have fun hand signing and numbering each and every one AND a little special handwritten insert for each and every copy! (What can I tell you, I’m a slave-driver!)
To my good friend Dan Brittain – I saw something in you the very first day we met and then promptly set you on fire whilst we did our first photo shoot.
You are an incredible human being and I have enjoyed working alongside you in whatever we have done since 2011.
